Senate President Vicente Sotto III on Christmas Day encouraged the Filipinos to remain steadfast, hoping that the Philippines will rise above the crisis brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“With all the trials and adversities that come our way I encourage everyone to remain hopeful and steadfast,” Sotto said in his Christmas message.
“As one nation we will rise above this crisis better and stronger,” he added.
Filipinos should take time to “unplug and relax” despite the restrictions imposed by the government in celebrating the yuletide season, the Senate chief said.
“You deserve some time to unplug and relax albeit restrictions. No matter how you plan to spend your time, I wish you all a safe and restful break,” he said.
“Merry Christmas. Mabuhay kayo at ang sambayanang Pilipino,” he ended.
