Cheerleader, masscom graduate first two ‘PBB’ housemates
Some 177,000 hopefuls auditioned via the livestreaming app Kumu; only 14 made it to the long-running reality show that premieres its 2020 edition on 6 December.

Who between Andrea Abaya and Justin Joseph Dizon will follow in the footsteps of Kim Chiu, Robi Domingo and Ejay Falcon as Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) discoveries?
Abaya and Dizon are the first two aspiring stars revealed on 30 November on the show’s 2020 edition, PBB: Connect.
Chiu, Domingo and Falcon were winners of previous editions of the popular ABS-CBN reality show, which starts airing again on 6 December.
In an interview with MJ Felipe on Star Patrol, Abaya and Dizon revealed a few details about themselves.
Abaya, 18, has been a cheerleader since high school. She has appeared on TV commercials and is an avid TikTok user. She is currently a freshman at De La Salle University.
Dizon, 22, is an AB Communications graduate who hails from San Fernando, Pampanga.

The rest of the chosen 14 housemates have yet to be revealed.
Some 177,000 hopefuls auditioned via the livestreaming app Kumu. They were introduced, although with distorted voices and blurred faces, on the PBB Kumulitan show on the app.

The other housemates go by the monikers assigned to them: “Single Momshie-kap ng Bataan,” “Striving Footballer ng Cebu,” “Ra-kweentera ng Quezon,” “Charming Striker ng Paranaque,” “Cheerdance Sweetheart ng Parañaque,” “Courageous Cabalen ng Pampanga,” “Kwelang Fangirl ng Sarangani,” “Alluring Accountant ng Australia,” “Shy Biker Boy ng Butuan,” “Bunsong Boksingero ng General Santos City,” “Miss Malakas ng Misamis Oriental,” “Military Son ng Palawan,” “Makatang Marikit ng Pangasinan” and “Dong Diskarte ng Zamboanga del Sur.”
All 14 passed their medical, psychological and COVID-19 tests.
Robi Domingo, Toni Gonzaga and Bianca Gonzales are the show’s hosts.
“Connected Tayo,” this season’s official soundtrack, is interpreted by former PBB housemates Kiara Takahashi, Shawntel Cruz, Jem Macatuno, Lie Reposposa and Gino Roque IV. Its music video with lyrics is now up on Facebook and YouTube.
The show premieres on 6 December on Kapamilya Online Live, Kapamilya Channel, A2Z channel 11 and Kumu.
