CLARK– TNT Tropang Giga hit a snag as the main gunner Ray Parks suffered a calf injury and is likely to miss Game 2 of the PBA Philippine Cup best-of-seven finals against Barangay Ginebra on Wednesday.
Head coach Bong Ravena confirmed that the 27-year old guard sustained a left calf strain following their 94-100 overtime loss against Barangay Ginebra in their opening game Sunday night.
Ravena said Parks might not be able to suit up for their next game this coming Wednesday.
He did not discount the possibility that Parks may miss the Game 3 too on Friday.
“Ray has left calf strain and is highly doubtful to play on Wednesday and we are hoping he could play on Friday,” said Ravena in a statement.
Parks, the current frontrunner for the MVP plum this historic bubble season, finished the game with 20 points, to go alongside four rebounds, four assists, and five steals in 43 minutes of play.
Nearing the final stretch of their previous match, Parks has been spotted limping with his movements before getting fouled out in the final moments of the overtime period.
