Slapshock frontman Jamir Garcia was found dead inside his house at No. 14 Production st., Barangay Sangandaan, Quezon City, Thursday morning, police said.
Garcia, 42, who is Vladimir Garcia in real life, was the lead vocalist of Slapshock.
Based on the investigation of the police, Garcia was found hanging by his aunt inside the bathroom at 9:20 a.m., using a blanket tied in the steel window.
According to officials, Jamir’s aunt and live-in partner, Sojina-Jaya Crisostomo untied the victim and immediately rushed him to Metro North Medical Center and Hospital for medical treatment.
Vladimir was declared dead on arrival at 10:20 a.m. by the attending physician of the said hospital.
Officials said the victim’s sister, Cheloana Garcia executed a written waiver manifesting that the family was no longer interested in an investigation.
Police said Garcia did not suffer external injury except from ligature marks around his neck. His cadaver was still at the hospital morgue.
Meanwhile, according to Crisostomo, they have not seen or heard anything from Garcia before the incident but noticed him of being depressed.
