Napauwing OFWs umabot na sa 320K–DOLE

Umabot na sa 320,000 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) ang napauwi sa kani-kanilang lalawigan, ayon sa Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) ngayong Linggo.
Sa isang ulat kay Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III, sinabi ng Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) na pinayagan nang makabalik ang 319,333 OFWs matapos namang magnegatibo sa coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Ayon sa ulat ng OWWA, ngayong Nobyembre, umabot sa 38,516 OFWS ang pinasakay sa eroplano at mga bus patungo sa kanila-kanilang destinasyon.
Tiniyak ni Bello na tinutugunan ng OWWA ang mga pangangailangan ng mga dumarating na OFWs.
“There is no stopping the government from extending the assistance to our dear OFWs. We have also enhanced our livelihood programs for the reintegration of our returning heroes,” sabi ni Bello.
