Hyun Jun will be playing the character of Yoo Han in ‘Color Rush.’

Hur Hyun Jun, a.k.a. Hwall, former member of K-Pop group The Boyz, stars in the upcoming Korean Boys’ Love (BL) series Color Rush opposite actor Yoo Joon.

“This is Hur Hyun Jun, who will be playing the character, Yoo Han, in Color Rush. Please show your love and support for my first drama. I am always doing my best to become a multi-talented person who can shine in all fields. As always, thank you and love you to my fans,” he said on his Instagram stories.

The series is about a man (portrayed by Yoo Joon) afflicted with neurological color blindness who experiences a “color rush” when he meets his destined match in Hur Hyun Jun’s character.
Also in the cast are Baek Suho, Min Hyo Gi and Yeon Min Ji.

According to South Korean media, filming will start this month.

Color Rush is a collaboration between online novels and comics publisher StoryWiz, which is in charge of planning and production, and Conversions TV, which has produced several hit web drama series including Love in Memory in 2013.

Before getting into acting, Hyun Jun was part of the 11-member singing group The Boyz. He suffered an ankle injury and was in poor health in October 2019, which forced him to take a break.
While recovering, he decided to quit The Boyz.

“It became a great burden on myself to perform on stage in an imperfect state due to various health reasons, and I expressed my desire to halt activities after deliberating for a long time with my family, members and agency,” he said in an official statement.

He apologized to THE B (The Boyz’s official fandom) and his Boyz co-members.
