Sports nutritionist Jeaneth Aro has added another marquee name to her growing list of topnotch clients.

The latest marquee name to tap the services of Aro is undefeated Filipino featherweight Mark ‘Magnifico’ Magsayo, who recently decided to get expert help from Aro on the recommendations of fellow MP Promotions talent Jerwin Ancajas and trainer Joven Jimenez.

Aro has been handling Ancajas’ nutritional needs since mid-2019 and Magsayo and his wife, Frances, thought they need her for proper guidance during training camp and during the runup to the fight.

“We wanted Mark to have a better recovery and timing on cutting weight,” Frances told Daily Tribune from Los Angeles, adding that the meal program will revolve mainly around Filipino cuisine, which is readily available in Southern California.

To begin the program of the 25-year-old Magsayo, Aro is zeroing in on “gradual weight loss” as they embark on a journey that will see the Bohol power-puncher make his ring return in January or February of 2021.

“A professional designed meal plan” built around Filipino food will be prepared for the world-rated Magsayo, whose last fight was a hard-earned points victory over Mexican Rigoberto Hermosillo in downtown Los Angeles last month.

Aro feels the presence of Magsayo’s wife will work wonders.

“I believe his wife being there with him is great because she will assist him implement the program,” said Aro, who also helps out the national amateur boxing team.

Magsayo (21-0 with 14 KOs) signed up with MP Promotions, via the well-connected American boxing man Sean Gibbons, just before the worldwide lockdown last March.

Magsayo has resumed training under Freddie Roach and his able assistant Marvin Somodio at the Wild Card in Hollywood with Justin Fortune in charge of strength and conditioning.
