Maynilad Water Services Inc. on Friday said that the water interruption affecting 70 percent of its customers will last at least one to two days due to the turbidity in the raw water from the Ipo Dam.
In an interview over DZMM, Maynilad Water Supply Operations head Ronald Padua said that the water concessionaire will provide window hours for the affected residents for them to store water.
Padua added that turbidity of water is worse compared to the experience during the onslaught of typhoon” Ondoy” in 2009.
Padua assured that with the clear weather, Maynilad is expecting that the water turbidity in Ipo Dam will gradually lessen.
Within one to two days, maaaring maibalik. Ang gagawin with limited production ng water supply, magkakaroon ng window certain hours bago magkaroon ng water interruption,” he added.
Maynilad started to implement the water interruption Thursday afternoon.
