President’s daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte on Wednesday visited three provinces severely-affected by Typhoon Rolly.
Duterte has visited Marinduque, Catanduanes and Legaspi, Albay in Bicol Region.
This was confirmed by her office in Davao City.
In a tweet of Boac, Marinduque municipal councilor Tino Manrique, he confirmed the arrival of the president’s daughter in the province.
Duterte is a close friend and ally of House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco from Marinduque.
The Davao City Mayor also met with Catanduanes Governor Joseph Cua.
A source, on the other hand, told the Daily Tribune that Duterte met Senator Imee Marcos in Legaspi, Albay, and visited the local government officials to get updates in the typhoon-stricken area.
Other officials seen with Duterte and Marcos were Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara and Ako Bicol Rep. Alfredo Garbin.
The Daily Tribune asked Duterte and Marcos for more details regarding their visit.
In a radio interview over Davao City Disaster Radio on Tuesday, Duterte said the city government of Davao will be extending help to cities and municipalities, and provinces affected by the typhoon.
Duterte added the funds they will use are part of the city government’s 30 percent Quick Response Fund. The QRF fund is a portion of the city’s five percent Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund or calamity fund.
