Twenty-four-year old Filipina actor Sue Ramirez is undeterred by the shutdown of her home studio ABS-CBN as she remains active in her career.

An offshoot of her popularity is her being a brand ambassador of Ginebra San Miguel (GSM) Blue Mojito, whose TV commercial is a music video with her singing and dancing to the soundtrack.

First break
Sue first gained notice for her supporting role in the reprise of top teleserye Mula Sa Puso (2011). More substantial roles in more teleserye came, and in 2018 she starred with James Blake in the film Ang Babaeng Allergic sa WiFi.

In 2019, she starred with RK Bagatsing in the film Cuddle Weather, in which she played a prostitute.

Her biggest break to date is a starring role in the family drama Finding Agnes, shot in Morocco and streaming on Netflix starting 30 November.

“Sometimes you have to go far away to find your home,” she posted on Instagram to announce the film’s premiere.

Here at home, she’s seen on the TV5 family dramedy series Oh My Dad!.

Happily in love
Sue is successful as well in her personal life, happily in love with young action star and political scion Javi Benitez. The couple fondly call each other palangga (Visayan for “my love”).

Their sweetness toward each other spills on Instagram, as seen on photos of a recent beach getaway to celebrate Javi’s birthday on 8 October.

Earlier, on 7 September, Javi himself posted on his Instagram page a photo of Sue with the caption:

“I wanna treat you like a queen.”

The couple started becoming visible on social media in July.

Sue’s relationship with Javi comes after an emotional breakup with BoybandPH’s Joao Constancia.
