St. Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC) commemorated its 117th anniversary with a weeklong celebration through virtual ceremonies, webinars and a medical mission as it launched the hospital’s renewed mission, vision and values (MVV) in light of the new experiences learned from the pandemic.
“We celebrate not only the 117th anniversary of St. Luke’s, but likewise, an important milestone that will significantly determine our direction in the years to come,” said SLMC president Dr. Art de La Peña in his speech during the MVV launch.
SLMC’s renewed mission and vision continue to highlight the hospital’s call to delivering a compassionate and patient-centered experience. The hospital’s 117 years long existence culminates with the excellence and innovation being fostered by its healthcare professionals.
The hospital’s management, together with all their associates, envision the hospital to be the unparalleled leader in patient-care, clinical outcomes, research and education.
Guiding SLMC in its redefined mission and vision are its core principles or values of integrity, healthcare excellence, accountability, responsibility and teamwork.
