CLARK — Phoenix held off a last minute rally by Magnolia en route to a 91-84 demolition of the Hotshots that ended the Fuel Masters’ two-game losing skid Friday at the Angeles University Foundation (AUF) gym here.
Down by as much as 14 points entering the final canto, Matthew Wright waxed hot to compile a game-high 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists and lead the Fuel Masters to their third win in five games.
Jason Perkins also delivered with another impressive double-double performance as he scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Phoenix.
Magnolia guard Chris Banchero led his team with 20 points and two steals. The Hotshots absorbed their third straight loss in four games inside the bubble.
