CLARK — The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) will bring in more game officials inside the bubble to reinforce its referee delegation.
PBA commissioner Willie Marcial said that they are now bringing two to three more referees to replace the two officials that exited the bubble this week.
Referee Sherwin Pineda, who made a controversial last-second call in the Rain or Shine-Northport match, was sent home last Monday, while another official was transferred to Capas, Tarlac to undergo isolation after being identified as a suspected case of COVID-19.
“We already brought one referee inside the bubble, maybe he can start officiating on Monday. The other one is still on his way from Manila,” Marcial said.
