Retired actor’s suspected killers arrested

OLONGAPO CITY, ZAMBALES — Joint operatives of the Olongapo City Police Office and the 301st Maritime Police Station last Thursday, 10 September 2020, arrested and detained two suspects believed to be behind the death of a retired American actor in Barrio Barretto in this city.
Local police authorities identified the victim as 75-year-old David Michael Light. He was found lifeless inside his rented house the day before they tracked down the alleged perpetrators – two males aged 25 and 19 years old, also residents of the same community.
The two were said to hiding in Barangay Ibis in Bagac town.
Witnesses said they heard a commotion happening inside Light’s residence and later on saw the two suspects hurriedly leaving the scene.
Light first set foot in Barrio Barretto in the 1970s. He portrayed several roles in the 1980s and 1990s in movies like The Sisterhood, Future Hunters, Opposing Force and Warriors of the Apocalypse.
