Pasig City Police Station is 2020’s best

Pasig City Police Station reaped various awards during the 119th Police Service Anniversary celebration of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) held last Thursday, 6 August, at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City.

The Pasig City Police Station was awarded Best City Police Station for 2020 and Accomplishment in Project Double Barrel (City Police Station Level). Meanwhile, the Pinagbuhatan Police Sub-Station was awarded Best Sub-Station in Metro Manila.

NCRPO chief P/Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas also awarded Pasig police chief Col. Moises Villaceran Jr. as Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer for Administration for 2020. P/Col. Fitz Walter Gullunan was awarded Best Junior PNCO for Operations.

President Rodrigo Duterte extolled the awardees for their important role in the fight against the coronavirus.

“I likewise extend our appreciation for your selfless service as the frontliners in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic,” the President said. “I ask you to ensure that the PNP (Philippine National Police) will remain pandemic resilient by adopting protocols in the new normal.”

Meanwhile, Quezon City Police District dominated this year’s awards as it was conferred the Best Police District for the Year 2020; Unit with Highest Accomplishment in Project Double Barrel-Police District Level for the year 2020; and Unit with Highest number of confiscated/recovered firearms-Police District Level for the year 2020.

Sinas thanked President Duterte, PNP chief Archie Gamboa and Interior Secretary Eduardo Año for their support for NCRPO.
