Tropical Storm Dindo has slightly intensified Sunday as it moves towards outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
In its 11 AM bulletin, the weather agency said the tropical cyclone is expected to exit PAR and reach the Ryukyu archipelago in Japan within 48 hours.
It may develop into severe tropical storm category before leaving PAR but will have no direct impact in the country.
‘Dindo’ was last seen at 10 a.m. today at 385 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes. It is moving West Northwestward at the speed of 20 km.h while packing maximum sustained winds of up to 75 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 90 km/h.
Meanwhile, Luzon will experience light to moderate or at times heavy rains due to the Southwest Monsoon.
