For the nth time, President Rodrigo Duterte advised daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte against running for the presidency in 2022.

The Presidency is a thankless job, he told his daughter.

The Chief Executive made the remark when he visited the troops at the Camp General Teodulfo Bautista in Jolo, Sulu, on Monday.

Duterte said unless an aspirant will use his/her position for money, it’s better not to aspire for the presidency.

“I told her ‘you’ll just work there. ‘There’s nothing there unless you’d want to make money,”’ the President claimed telling his daughter.

As President, Duterte said he has a monthly salary of about P194,000. He said some military generals are paid better.

For this reason, the Chief Executive claimed to have told Sara “not to run.”

“If it’s just a matter of ambition, lay off. You won’t get anything, you’ll just get tired,” he claimed to have said.
