LAOAG CITY — The Laoag International Airport is set to resume commercial flight operations on 20 July after a temporary shutdown due to the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) lockdown.

Cluster airport manager Ronald Estabillo said Friday the Ilocos Norte Provincial Health Task Force has already approved the resumption of commercial flights but inbound passengers should undergo health protocols.

“During the lockdown, our airport remained open to government, maintenance, emergency, and sweeper flights,” he said.

Estabillo said a team from the Provincial Health Task Force will be stationed at the Laoag airport to ensure arriving passengers undergo initial temperature checks.
