Viva’s rising musical girl group just dropped their latest single “Wrapped Around My Finger” on 5 June. Led by Ppop Generation’s Edsel, Madz, Amber, Apphle, and Ashtine, the ladies didn’t just let their hearts sing out as they showed off their fierce, powerful selves to the tune of this electronic-dance pop track.
“Wrapped Around My Finger” urges fans to groove as the Ppop Generation girls didn’t just display their beautiful singing voices, but their intense rapping skills as well.
According to members Clare Galang and Hannalee Narra, the new single shows the women flexing more girl power.
Clare explained, “In our newest single, it shows the fierce and strong side of Ppop generation. The song simply explains that no other person can break us and before you even think about doing it, we already got everything under control. It’s a girl power type of song that will give you LSS feels.”
“‘Wrapped Around My Fingers’ is most likely the same with ‘Ikaw at Ako.’ which is our second single, because they are both about love,” Hannalee added.
Aside from their second single, the girl group will also celebrate their second anniversary concert on 3 July entitled Ppop Generation [email protected]: The Journey Continues at 8 p.m., live on their Facebook Page.
Fans can expect new musical treats from the group who are used to performing at the stage of the Teatrino in Greenhills.
The girls themselves admit the experience will also be fresh as it will be their first ever online concert for the celebration.
Clare remarked, “Safety first, of course! It’s going to be fun because we’re going to perform songs that we haven’t done yet in our Teatrino shows. Plus, there will be fun segments that will surely entertain the viewers.”
“We’ve prepared a lot for our second anniversary celebration, so everyone must really watch! Each and every one of us, including the VIVA staff, gave their time and effort to make this anniversary celebration possible to give everyone a good and an amazing show. Actually, I don’t want to disclose anything about our second anniversary celebration, but I am assuring you guys that you will love it. And also, to see is to believe, right?” Hannalee continued.
The concert was supposed to be held at Viva Café, which will be the second home of the Ppop Generation. However, construction of the café, conceptualized as a Filipino bar, was postponed because of the quarantine.
When asked if they will have a special guest in their concert, both Hannalee and Clare were quick to respond and said, “Better watch our show on 3 July!”
