Pasig City local officials are studying the possibility of placing some of its barangays under a “containment zone.”

These barangays have recorded numerous coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases.

Pasig police chief P/Col. Moises Villaceran said they have already suspended the Permit to Leave Premises for supermalls, groceries and other business establishments issued to residents of Barangay Pinagbuhatan.

On the other hand, village officials of Barangays Maybunga, Rosario and Manggahan are also studying if parts of their barangays will be placed under containment zones.

It was recommended that Block 6 of Luzviminda in Eusebio Avenue; Phase 2 of Villa Monique; Caliwag Street in Leticiaville and Joshua Street of Promisedland in Centennial 2 will be placed under containment zone.

Due to the presence of confirmed COVID-19 cases, recommended for “house monitoring” were the streets of Sta. Teresa in Pinalad Road; Mabuhayville in Molave Extension; Block 18 of Ziorville and Block 22 in Patok Kenneth, both located at Eusebio Avenue.

The streets of Rodmon; Jade Ville; E. Santos and Bolante 1 were also placed under “house monitoring” to contain the further spread of the deadly virus.
