The City Government of Malabon is expecting to trace more virus carriers as the city expands its testing capacity.
“Due to the increasing testing capacity, we are expecting to trace more virus carriers,” Malabon Mayor Antolin “Lenlen” Oreta said.
In addition, the city mayor said isolation areas were also being prepared in anticipation of the increase in the number of suspected coronavirus patient will increase in the following days.
Further, Oreta said the city will also be distributing isolation kits containing a hygiene kit, snacks, milk, coffee and bottled water.
Free hot meals will also be provided to patients, Oreta added.
“We may have a hard time fighting this virus, but we will not be defeated. Let us all do our parts,” said Oreta.
As of 28 May, the city has recorded a total of 140 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 59 recovered patients and 20 deaths.
