The local government of San Juan City said no new case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has been recorded in the city on 22 May, according to its mayor said Saturday.
San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora said the last time that the city recorded zero COVID-19 cases was on 26 March.
“Zero COVID-19 cases, ZERO deaths and 14 recoveries recorded on 22 May in San Juan,” said Zamora. “Our sacrifices are now bearing fruit.”
The San Juan mayor also said that 14 more patients have recovered from the infection as of 22 May, bringing the total to 138.
So far, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the city remain at 302 while the death toll stood unchanged at 140.
Likewise, Zamora urged his constituents to register at sanjuan.staysafe.ph for a well-organized contact tracing of the City Health Office.
