In compliance with the protocol on social distancing, the Philippine National Police (PNP) is strictly prohibiting motorcycle back riders on all streets and roads.

In a statement, the PNP said bikes with back riders violate the social distancing provision of the enhanced community quarantine presently enforced in Metro Manila and Luzon.

Violators will be issued citation tickets.

Likewise, barangay officials may face possible violation for non-cooperation pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 11332, or the Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act, if they fail to apprehend residents involved in incidences of illegal gambling that occur less than 50 meters from their residences.

Similarly, Internet cafes that remain open to cater to students are also liable for violation under RA 11332.

On the other hand, Quezon City is enforcing a liquor ban for the duration of the quarantine.

Executive Order 24, series of 2020, issued by the city mayor prohibits the sale and distribution of liquor and intoxicating beverages.
