Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. was unwell upon returning from Spain but is now feeling better, her sister, Senator Imee Marcos, said Thursday.
“He came back from Spain unwell. Finally, got a test two nights ago, (he is) getting better at home (and) wala pang result. Mom and I (are) okay,” Marcos said in a text message shared to reporters.
The senator made the statement in response to social media posts on Thursday night that his brother has contracted COVID-19.
A post in Reddit also claimed that the former vice presidential candidate was denied admission by St. Luke’s Medical Center due to lack of room.
A post that he would be flown to Singapore for treatment and another post saying he is confined at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City for pneumonia after arriving from Spain proved to be false when Sen. Imee said, “Nasa bahay, gumagaling, kumakain.”
The former senator has yet to issue a statement regarding his health.
