A security personnel at the civil wedding of singer-actress Sarah Geronimo and Kapamilya actor Matteo Guidicelli filed a legal complaint against the latter over a scuffle that occurred during their private ceremony in Taguig City on Thursday evening.
Taguig chief of police Col. Celso Rodriguez said Jerry Tamara, the 31-year-old victim, personally filed the blotter early Friday at 3:27 a.m. after Matteo allegedly punched him on the throat after accusing him of leaking the details of their private civil wedding to Geronimo’s parents.
According to Tamara, the ruckus started when Sarah’s mother arrived unexpectedly at the hotel venue at 11 p.m., asking for a moment to talk with her daughter.
Immediately, Mateo confronted Tamara and accused him of informing Sarah’s mother.
The long-time couple was supposedly planning to get married without the knowledge of Sarah’s parents as they were against the union despite their engagement last year.
The ceremony pushed through Thursday night at a hotel in Taguig, and Rodriguez said Tamara eventually chose not to file formal charges against the actor.
