Palace declares Taytay, Bayawan, Zamboanga City holidays

Malacañang has declared as special non-working days  17 February in the Municipality of Taytay, Rizal; 18 February in the City of Bayawan in Negros Oriental and 26 February in the City of Zamboanga.
The declarations are contained in Proclamation Numbers 903, 901 and 902, respectively.
Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea who signed the proclamations said Taytay is to hold the celebration of the Araw ng Pasasalamat: HAMAKA on Monday.
 Bayawan will celebrate the Tawo-Tawo Festival on 18 February. The festival reflects the culture of the city which is a rice granary of the southern part of the province of Negros Oriental.
The City of Zamboanga is to mark its 83rd charter anniversary on 26 February.
According to Medialdea, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the said cities and towns be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in their respective occasions with appropriate ceremonies.
