Chelsea Ship Management and Marine Services Corp. (CSMMSC), the shipping unit of Chelsea Logistics Group, recently received its ISO 9001:2015 Certification following the completion of ISO audit requirements on 17 January.

An ISO 9001:2015 Certification is vital to the organization’s efforts to achieve sustainable development.

Adopting a Quality Management System (QMS) guides an organization in the improvement of its internal and external processes and policies to achieve customer satisfaction.

CSMMSC passed the Stage 2 Audit for ISO 9001:2015 Certification, manifesting the readiness and effectiveness of the Company’s QMS.

3-month review

It went through a rigid evaluation process for three months, to ensure the QMS is completely implemented across the company.

With the certification, CSMMSC customers and stakeholders can expect improved consistency on quality service, as the company is now driven by the seven management principles defined under ISO 9001:2015 which are customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, process approach, improvement, evidence-based decision-making and relationship management.

“We are proud and thankful for this milestone,” Chelsea Logistics president and CEO Chryss Alfonsus Damuy said.

“Knowing that the company’s QMS or its ISO 9001: 2015 Certification evidence reliability and consistency in providing products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements, we at Chelsea Logistics are ready and even more inspired to improve the overall performance of our customer-oriented services,” the company acknowledged.
