You’re totally in love and you want to show the love of your life just how much you care. Valentine’s Day is tomorrow, and it is the perfect time to manifest that special affection — through flowers and chocolates, yes, but also through cakes, pastries and desserts. All things sweet for the sweetest blessing in your life!
If you are looking for a sweet treat that is absolutely special, here are some suggestions:
Bellefleur’s Strawberry Tres Leches
Last year, Bellefleur by Beatrix came up with a special cake called Mango Tres Leches, a frozen cake that is so good that you would eat it to the last slice. Due to its popularity, Bellefleur releases its strawberry version, Strawberry Tres Leches, this Valentine’s Day. It is layers of vanilla chiffon cake, leche flan and lady fingers soaked in a delightful tres leches sauce, topped with strawberry cream mousse and a generous helping of fresh Baguio strawberries.

The decision to use local strawberries is deliberate, as Bellefleur wants to highlight them for their natural sweetness and vibrant color as well as to help local farmers uplift their lives through its products.
Whole Strawberry Tres Leches cakes are available daily in Bellefleur’s store located at the ground floor, Unimart, Greenhills Shopping Centre, Club Filipino Ave., Greenhills, San Juan.
Hiraya Bakery’s pastry boxes
This Valentine’s Day, Hiraya Bakery offers sweet indulgences like no other — Large Pastry Box at P1,300, and Medium Pastry Box at P600. Both boxes will contain an assortment of pastries, but the Large Pastry Box will include bread (sticky buns, and kesong puti and pink peppercorn buns), a tea cake, plus cookies. The Medium Pastry Box will contain only Hiraya Bakery cookie favorites, such as tamarind cumin blondies, tahini sumac brownies and alfajores, no bread or loaf.

Fleur De Lys’ Pillow Soft Cheesecake
Whenever there’s a special occasion, well-known pastry chef Jackie Ang Po is always ready with her irresistible goodies at Fleur de Lys Patisserie. This Valentine’s Day, she presents two special treats — Pillow Soft Cheesecake and Obsessive Chocolate Diet (OCD) — both priced at P1,200 per whole cake. Pillow Soft Cheesecake is Japanese Hokkaido-style cheesecake made up of three layers of very light cheesecake and chiffon. The OCD is a chocolate cake with ganache and salted caramel. Both cakes are available at Fleur de Lys Patisserie located at Po Building, Tomas Morato Ave., Quezon City.
