Crispy pancit canton for your celebrations
One dish that must always be present, no matter what occasion, is pancit, as it symbolizes longevity and good health. Max’s Restaurant is now offering a more enticing way of eating this traditional Filipino dish with its newest crispy pancit canton. For P199, delight your loved ones on their birthdays as it’s a mountain of crispy, golden fried noodles, mixed with flavorful chicken balls, squid rings, as well as fresh and colorful vegetables. As soon as it reaches your tables, it’s then drizzled with a lavish amount of sauce.

The crispy pancit canton is also the perfect partner of Max’s chicken. Friends and families can enjoy this through the House Classics Birthday Bundle, which is a glorious feast consisting of one regular whole fried chicken, one crispy pancit canton, one large plain rice, and four glasses of iced tea for P999. Level it up with the House Classics Birthday Bundle Plus for P1,399, which is the same combination but this time with your choice of four servings of vanilla ice cream or buko pandan.

All you need is love and Duck & Waffle Hong Kong’s divine Valentine’s Day set menu (1,588 HKD per couple). Celebrate the most romantic holiday of the year with a specially curated menu (vegetarian menu also available) and love potions sure to impress. Menus and cocktails are available exclusively on 14 February.

Divided into four sections (snacks, starter, main, dessert), Duck & Waffle Hong Kong’s Valentine’s Day set menu has something for every couple. Highlighted dishes include the juicy USDA Prime Beef carpaccio served with a tarragon mayo, shaved fresh truffles, parmesan shavings and chives, a succulent loin of New Zealand lamb with truffle crispy chips, and a meaty grilled seabass paired with sturgeon caviar, compressed cucumber, creamed artichokes and a sprinkle of sage.

Tie the meal together with the indulgent dark chocolate mousse dessert, paired with a creamy white sesame ganache, biscuit ice-cream and topped with crystallized dark chocolate. Couples can enjoy their romantic meal with the additional cocktail pairing (220 HKD per couple). Options include “For Her,” a mix of gin, Malbec reduction, blueberry cream and topped with white chocolate foam, and “For Him,” a concoction of bourbon, maple syrup, coffee bitters, smoke. Guests will also take home a complimentary photo that captures the love in the air on the most romantic day of the year.

Chef’s recommendations
Lung Hin, Marco Polo Ortigas Manila’s award-winning authentic Cantonese restaurant, features a new set of curated culinary delights prepared and perfected by executive Chinese chef, Ken Leung. This season’s selection includes Deep-Fried Pigeon with Golden Garlic, Steamed Live Crab with Egg White and Chinese Wine and Wok-Fried Shrimp with Daliang Milk (Shunde Style).
