The Police Regional Office (PRO)-7 has intensified its monitoring of police officers from low rank to top senior officials not only in golf clubs but in casinos and restobars as disclosed by Police Brig. General Domingo Cabillan, the Deputy Regional Director for Administration-PRO-7.
“Monitoring of all police officials are ongoing. And they include not only golf courses but also bars and gambling places like casinos where they are barred from entering,” Cabillan said.
Newly-installed Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Lt. General Archie Gamboa has relieved at least three PRO-7 senior officials for violating the order not to play golf on weekdays.
Relieved were: Police Colonel Dennis Artil, who is the regional comptroller, Police Lt. Colonel Dennis Bad-ang, the chief of the finance services and Police Lt. Colonel Glenn Mayam, who heads the Drug Enforcement Group.
Cabillan said an investigation is now being conducted and the three are now in Camp Crame. Replacements of the three are still being awaited.
