Allen Durham is off to another important mission following a bridesmaid finish with Meralco in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Governors’ Cup.
The do-it-all forward announced on social media that he would be playing for KT Sonic Boom in South Korea after a fruitful stint in the Philippines, where he collected his third Best Import award.
“So blessed to add another country to my resume. Let me reintroduce myself,” said Durham in a Twitter post with a photo of him being introduced by his new team.
“I’m so blessed for this new opportunity to continue my journey. First time playing in Korea will hopefully be a great experience. To my teammates, coaches and PBA fans back in the Philippines I thank you for always welcoming me with open arms. Manila and the PBA will always be a second home to me, until next time.”
The 31-year-old Wyoming, Michigan native had a strong performance in the recent conference as he averaged 29.6 points, 14.6 rebounds and 6.2 assists in the elimination round as the Bolts emerged as the second seed fin the quarterfinals with an 8-3 mark.
He continued to his stellar game in the playoffs and eventually led Meralco to its third finals appearance, where the clashed with Barangay Ginebra for the third time in four years.
