Mutya Pilipinas makes an early start in Philippine pageantry by sending Tyra Rae Florito Goldman as this year’s Philippine official representative to the 27th edition of Top Model of the World slated on 24 January at the Meraki Resort in Hurghada, Egypt.
Goldman, a first-timer in beauty pageants, hopes to fulfill her dream of becoming an accomplished and seasoned beauty queen.
Born in the United States, the 18-year-old Cebuana standing at 5’9” is currently studying in Cebu, pursuing her ultimate goal: To be a doctor.
Since 1993, candidates across 50 countries have participated in this modeling type of competition that is an ideal platform for a modeling career.
Top Model of the World is the world’s largest and most prestigious international modeling contest that takes place in fashionable venues in Shanghai, Berlin, Miami and now in Hurghada.
During Goldman’s official send-off held at the CWC Showroom in BGC, a victory celebration for April May Short also took place.
Short, who finished in the Top 12 at the World Top Model in Monte Carlo, Monaco last 14 December 2019, was the first Philippine representative to the competition.
Her inaugural placement in the competition granted her a two-month training and modeling scholarship in the Top Model of the World Academy in Italy.
