Philippine National Police Officer-in-Charge, Lt. Gen. Archie Gamboa has designated Brig. Gen. Ildebrandi Usana as the new chief of the PNP Human Rights Affairs Office, Camp Crame announced on Tuesday.
A member of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Class of 1988, Usana was the Deputy Regional Director of Police Regional Office 7 (PRO-7) prior to being assigned to his new post.
As HRAO head, Usana is tasked to oversee all human rights concerns in the PNP’s policies and processes and responses to the requirements of due process and rule of law in police operations.
Also given new assignments are Brig. Gen. Domingo Cabillan (PNPA Class of 1989) as the PRO-7s new Deputy Regional Director for Administration. He held the same position in PRO-11.
Other officials moving to new posts are Col. Alessandro C. Abella (PNPA Class of 1989) as acting chief of the Women and Children Protection Center and Col. Armando S. De Leon (PMA Class of 1991) as the new acting Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PRO-11.
The new designations of all aforementioned officers took effect on Monday, 13 January.
Meanwhile, PCol. Jimmy Catanes (PNPA Class of 1989) was named as the new acting Regional Director of PRO-3’s Regional Internal Affairs Service effective last 23 December 2019.
