In partnership with UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center (UCDCCC), Makati Medical Center invited doctors and healthcare professionals to join the interactive workshop on cancer care last 7 and 8 November at Ascott Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
With the theme, “Evolving Standards of Care in Thoracic & Genitourinary Malignancies,” the workshop featured the presentations of top specialists from UCDCCC, one of the leading cancer centers in the United States.
The session tackled topics on kidney and urothelial cancer, prostate cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, as well as challenging cases in oncology during the expert panel discussion.
The joint interactive workshop was the first project of the two top hospitals since MakatiMed and UCDCCC inked the partnership early this year with a goal of advancing cancer care in the Philippines.
Through the workshop, both hospitals hoped to impart the most advanced methods of cancer management to physicians and medical professionals in the country.
