Tropical Storm”Ramon” intensified as it moved closer toward northern Cagayan, placing three provinces under signal No. 2.
As of 4 a.m., Ramon’s center was spotted 210 kilometers east northeast of Casiguran, Aurora or 225 km east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, where landfall is expected within 24 to 48 hours.
The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office in Cagayan already evacuated at least 80 families living in landslide- and flood-prone areas.
The following areas under signal No. 2 will experience winds greater than 61 kilometers per hour and up to 120 kph may be expected in at least 24 hours:
- Cagayan (including Babuyan Islands)
- northern portion of Isabela (Sta. Maria, San Pablo, Maconacon, Cabagan, Sto. Tomas, Quezon, Delfino Albano, Tumauini and Divilacan)
By nightfall, moderate with occasional to frequent heavy rains will mar Cagayan including Babuyan Islands and Apayao.
Light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains, meanwhile, will prevail over Batanes, Isabela, Kalinga, Abra and Ilocos Norte.
Under signal No. 1 as of the 5 a.m. advisory are:

- Ilocos Sur
- Mountain Province
- Northern Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran and Dinalungan
- the rest of Isabela
