PAL Holdings president Lucio “Bong” Tan, Jr., has died Monday morning at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center in Greenhills, San Juan.
Sources said Bong Tan expired at 9 a.m. from brain herniation secondary to a mini-stroke. He was 53.
The son and namesake of business tycoon Lucio Tan collapsed at midday of 9 November, Saturday, during a basketball game in Mandaluyong City.
PAL Holdings is Philippine Airlines’ holdings company.
The deceased was the coach on paper of the University of the East Warriors in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines men’s basketball tournament.
Tan was playing in the Pinoyliga Cup finals at the Gatorade Hoops Center when he collapsed.
