Since its auspicious opening last 19 July, Assembly Grounds, North Makati’s newest hub along Malugay Street, has attracted crowds, residents and young professionals alike with its impressive selection of establishments and services.
“We are a community mall, so we’re talking to a five-kilometer radius. We see a lot of schools and offices in this area. Aside from that, we are also servicing the 3,000 unit owners,” Cesar Jose Jesena said, head for Tenant Management Division of Assembly Grounds.
Restaurants such as Buffalo’s Wings N’ Things, Mey Lin Express, Yuki Cafe, Chatto Bites, Kuya’s, Salad Bowl, Raging Bull + Burgers, Spektral and so many others greet patrons when they visit the mall.
“There are 52 stores, a total of 5,200-plus square meters. The key word is curating. If you go around you will see that we have regular names but there are plenty of new ones that are not in one’s past because they may be operating from somewhere else,” Jesena explained.
He added, “More than 50 percent of the mall is devoted to F&B. It’s a foodie destination. Medical services are upstairs, including the beauty and wellness merchants. You can just imagine spending the whole day in this area, grab your coffee, work out, have a meal, get your hair done. Go back, continue working out later on and have cocktails outside.”
Out of the 52 stores, 70 percent have opened. The rest of the lineup will be complete until next year,” said Jesena.
“We want the personality of the brands to come out to make it a more interesting place. Aside from curating, I can say that it’s really the Assembly Grounds’ unique food offerings. You’ve got to give people a good reason to come here. For many years in the industry, it’s all about having enough people. We wanted to be the everyday model of the community that lives here,” he concluded.
