Hino Motors Philippines (HMP), one of the providers of modern public utility vehicles (PUV), has been ever adamant in pushing the particular mode of transportation in the local motoring scene.
In fact, the company, together with other industry players, even joined the first modern PUV caravan held at the Clark Economic Zone in Pampanga last July. From then on, around 30 legs of the modern PUV caravan are set to hold nationwide until February 2020. Phase one of the caravan, which was staged in July until the first week of August, included stops in Urdaneta, Pangasinan, San Fernando, La Union, Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Tuguegarao, Cagayan, Santiago, Isabela, Baguio City, Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija and Marilao, Bulacan.
The Japanese truck and bus specialist is featuring its PNS (Philippine National Standards)-compliant modern PUV, Jeepney Class II (AC) and Jeepney Class III (AC), during the various legs of the caravan. These jeepneys provide comfortable seating and are equipped with safety features, such as a speed limiter, CCTV, GPS and a dashboard camera, which all provide a better, safer commuting experience for both drivers and passengers.
