SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan―A total of P10 billion worth of investments has been recorded by San Jose Del Monte since it became a city 19 years ago.

Mayor Arthur Robes said most companies began investing in the city in 2016, with retail, real estate and transportation the top three sectors contributing to their income. This resulted in the increase of the city budget from P1 billion to P2.1 billion this year.

Aside from SM City, television and broadcast giant ABS-CBN Corporation has inaugurated its new studios here.

Under construction are the Metro Rail Transit-7’s Barangay Tungkong Mangga station and the P1.45-billion Solar Power Project of the Manressa Power Corporation that will create 35 megawatts of electricity in Barangay Minuyan Proper.

“These developments have been integral in the influx of investments in San Jose Del Monte,” Robes said during the opening of the Tanglawan Festival 2019 Art Gallery

San Jose Del Monte achieved cityhood via Republic Act 8797 that was approved in a plebiscite on 10 September 2000.
