A drug pusher with alleged ties with convicted personalities was caught with 30 kilos of shabu worth P204 million inside a condominium unit in Pasig City on Monday night.

Joint elements of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested Manolito Lugo Carlos (alias Lito and Tonge) at Sorrento Oasis Residences located along C. Raymundo Avenue in Barangay Rosario.

Armed with a search warrant issued by the Pasig City Regional Trial Court, the NCRPO and PDEA raided the condominium unit at 7:40 p.m.

Recovered were 30 big heat-sealed plastic packs of Chinese tea containing shabu weighing more or less one kilo per sachet with a street value of P204 million, assorted drug paraphernalia and bank deposit slips allegedly remitted to drug lords.

Police said Carlo was a high-profile drug personality and was among the major targets of the NCRPO.   The suspect was also the main player of an organized gang engaged in drug trafficking operating in Metro Manila, Region 3 and Calabarzon.

Carlo has alleged ties with convicted drug personalities inside the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City and is in charge of the storage and distribution of the illegal drugs.

Further background check revealed Carlos was arrested sometime in 2000, also by the Mandaluyong police, but was acquitted for still unknown reasons.
