The Philippine National Police (PNP) announced Thursday the reshuffling of six senior police officials in the latest round of reorganization of its officers.
“The latest round of reorganization of senior PNP officers occupying key positions was prompted by the recent series of retirement of some PNP officers,” said PNP spokesman Police Brig..Gen. Bernard Banac.
Banac said PNP chief Police General Oscar D. Albayalde has approved the new designations affecting some key positions in the National Support Units and Police Regional Office effective Thursday upon the recommendation of the PNP Senior Officers Placement and Promotion Board.
Banac said former Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director, Police Brig. Gen. Joselito Esquivel Jr., was designated director of Police Regional Office 13; Police Brig. Gen. Gilbert Cruz as the Acting Director for Integrated Police Operations – Northern Luzon; Police Brig. Gen. Alfred Corpus as the director of Police Regional Office 12; Police Brig. Gen. Omega Jireh Fidel as director of Engineering Service; Police Brig. Gen. Rey Lyndon Lawas as the new director of Training Service; and Police Col. Ronnie Montej as acting District Director of QCPD.
