The Metro Rail Transit Line-7 (MRT-7) is now 47.21 percent complete.

The Department of Transportation announced this over the weekend as it continued round the clock construction work on the 22-km rail line that will connect Quezon City to San Jose del Monte in Bulacan.

Ongoing civil works, according to the Department of Public Porks and Highways, include the guideway construction, underground/depressed and at-grade excavation or concreting works, and installation of coping beam, girder and trans-slabs on the elevated structures.

With the construction in full swing 24/7, the rolling stock and electrical and mechanical works are also in progress. At present, 108 cars are already completed.

Once completed in 2021, the new railway system will reduce travel time from 2-3 hours to only 35 minutes, and will give Bulakenyos an efficient and convenient commuting experience.
