Obstacle sports part of 2020 Asean Para Games

Obstacle Course Racing is officially included as a demonstration sport in the 10th Asean Para Games to be hosted by the Philippines on 18-25 January 2020.
It will be the second Para Games hosting of the Philippines after 2005.
More than 2,000 athletes from 11 Southeast Asian nations are expected.
PIlipinas Obstacle Sports Federation, Inc. (POSF) recently entered into an agreement with Allianz Philippines which will provide life and medical insurance and financial assistance to the training pool.
“Allianz has always believed in creating equal opportunities and encouraging people to meet challenges. This is why we have always been supportive of OCR in the Philippines,” said Allianz Philippines president and CEO Alexander Grenz.
Members of the Para-OCR mational pool include Ramon Anievas, Jeferson Biteng, Nigel Archer, Jerald Polintan, Angel Torres, Ariel Zinampan, Aga Casidsid and Bert Natividad.
“POSF believes and advocates building better humans. As such, we promote holistic development of our athletes,” said POSF president Alberto Agra.
