Rebel couple nabbed in QC

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested a couple identified as members of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army (CPP-NPA).

Suspects Alexander and Winona Binondo are alleged members of the peace talk panel between the government and the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP).

Sketchy reports said the couple were arrested Tuesday in an apartment in Quezon City for allegedly blocking the arrest of a wanted pal.

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Police Maj. Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar presented the couple during a press briefing at the QCPD headquarters in Camp Karingal, Quezon City.
