Prosecutor falls prey to thieves

A Pasig City prosecutor was not spared from thievery as robbers broke into his home and carted several jewelries and other valuable items worth P500,000, according to police reports on Thursday.

The victim, identified as Prosecutor Alvin Joseph Porte and a resident at No. 4 AC Tadeo St., Marriela Romeo Village, Barangay Sta. Lucia, Pasig City, said that he discovered his belongings in disarray when he entered his home at about 11 p.m.

Police said that unidentified suspects were able to gain entry at the main door of the prosecutor’s house and took assorted wrist watches, set of jewelry, a pair of Geox shoes and different coins with an amount of more or less P500,000.
