Movie director Joyce Bernal wants a “grand and hopeful” atmosphere in the fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Rodrigo Duterte on 22 July.
Bernal wants to put behind the “gloomy mood” of the leadership shake-up in the House of Representatives and make Filipinos “excited to watch their Father.”
“I want it hopeful and good. Mga bashers!,” Bernal told reporters during an ambush interview on Monday at the House plenary hall where a total of 20 cameras will be set up.
“We want it grand.
Bernal said she also wants to adorn the podium with woven works from Mindanao or Mountain Province.
The SONA’s duration will all depend on the President’s pacing.
“I cannot direct him but I’ll tell him about small things,” said Bernal, who will supervise the SONA pro bono
