Actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith says it is important for women to take care of themselves, even if that means to the point of availing of enhancements to make them feel more beautiful and confident.
But remember to center yourself and remember that you are beautiful the way God made you. Don’t be harsh on yourself and learn to accept what you have
“It is because we are always the ones who take care of everyone else. It is important because it is something that will uplift you if you are having a bad day. If you are to end up taking care of other people, huwag mo rin kalimutan yung sarili mo (don’t forget to take care of yourself),” Curtis-Smith says during the recent Mecca Aesthetic Clinic and Spa anniversary event that also launched her as its newest beauty muse for Ulthera Youth.
While keeping her skin moisturized and clean along with increased water intake and use of the right makeup products are all part of her regimen, Curtis-Smith shares that a good rest is vital to her skin health and overall well-being.
“I feel most beautiful when I’ve had my complete set of rest. I have good energy, have prepared well enough and ready to take on what’s in front on me. When I don’t feel prepared and I don’t have the right ingredients for a complete day, I feel like ayokong humarap sa tao (I don’t want to face people),” Curtis-Smith admits.
She explains that every woman’s beauty journey entirely depends on each one’s personal outlook.
“If that’s something they want and have thought about deeply, then it is their opinion. Walang pakialaman yan. Iba-ibang proseso ang mararamdaman natin na confident tayo sa sarili natin. Ayoko naman ipagkait sa tao (We should not concern ourselves with that. We go through different processes in order to feel confident about ourselves. I would not want to take that away) if that is what they think will make them feel beautiful,” she says.
“But remember to center yourself and remember that you are beautiful the way God made you. Don’t be harsh on yourself and learn to accept what you have. Learn to see the difference of things that make you happy. But if that’s what will start you to see the world more beautifully, then go,” Curtis-Smith advises.
This outlook makes her the perfect muse of Mecca’s Ulthera Youth campaign.
“Mecca chose Jasmine to be the face of Ulthera Youth campaign because we think she perfectly represents today’s generation of young women — active, confident, passionate and beautiful inside and out. They know what’s best for them and are not afraid to go after their goals,” says Mecca CEO Mars Balajadia.
Ulthera Youth is the latest non-invasive anti-aging procedure that uses microfocused ultrasound to lift and tighten loose skin naturally, without any downtime. The FDA-approved procedure is proven to improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles on the decolletage, resulting in a fresher, younger look.
Aside from Ulthera, Balajadia also proudly says that Mecca is also the first and only clinic in the Philippines to offer Eximia LipoLift — a four-step treatment for fat-melting, skin tightening and body contouring.
“Some clients lose six inches, some five inches in seven days. We call it sexy in seven days. It (Eximia LipoLift) has had very good results,” Balajadia says.
“Overall, the Mecca team puts so much passion in assisting clients in their beauty journey. We take pride in what we do and we continue to update and upgrade to make sure we give services with the highest standards and offer treatments that give results but do not break the bank,” she adds.
Curtis-Smith is thankful for being the face of the Ulthera Youth campaign and Mecca as well.
“I’m very thankful. Knowing and seeing their brands, I am very familiar with it. We have similarities like what I chose to do with my career and how they have chosen to move as a brand. It’s the same. It’s not about the quantity but the quality, the effort of putting in the right type of services.”
