Environment, stress and the pressures of everyday life are just some of the factors that contribute to early skin aging.

Aside from the natural aging process of our body, add constant exposure to sun and poor lifestyle choices to the factors that inevitably age the skin quicker than it naturally would.

Dr. Jaime Arzadon, section chief of Facial Plastic Surgery, Department of Otolaryngology at the Asian Hospital and Medical Center, shared that overexpression causes the skin to age quickly, too.

“From around the age of 25, the first signs of aging start to become apparent on the surface of the skin. Fine lines appear first then wrinkles, followed by loss of volume and elasticity over time,” he said.

And if you’re finding solutions while dealing with these factors, there are many scientific breakthroughs now that are geared toward providing effective yet safe services for your skin.

There are those who prefer non-invasive procedures such as derma fillers and Botox which, according to Arzadon, takes care of the fine lines and dark circles under the eyes.

But these cosmetic procedures require a little downtime after being done. For example, a four-hour facelift surgery requires at least two weeks for the patient to recover because of the pain and bruises.

There is also the non-surgical facelift procedure called The Thread, the newest cosmetic procedure available in the market for people who instantly want younger-looking skin.

One of the aesthetic techniques that uses The Thread is Menarini’s Happy Lift.  Done within just 30 to 45 minutes, the treatment is able to pull sagging skin and lift it while providing definition and contour to the face.
