Luzon grid normal, no power interruption

There will be no power interruptions in Luzon on Monday as the island’s power grid is normal, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) said.
The grid’s condition is normal as no power plant has an unplanned or forced outage. Moreover, only two power plants have reduced capacity for the day namely Calaca unit 2 of SEM-Calaca Power Corp. and unit 3 of Pagbilao Energy Corp.
“Any additional forced outage or de-ration of plants will worsen the situation, while more participation in the ILP (interruptible load program) or efficiency in the use of electricity by the consumers will help the system,” said NGCP.
The Department of Energy said it will continue to update the public on further developments.
