Over 80 representatives from government agencies, universities and colleges, hotels and resorts attended the information session facilitated by Asia World Hospitality to promote American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) at the Seda Hotel in Bonifacio Global City.
AHLEI, through its collaboration with the US Embassy Commercial Service, invited speakers from the Departments of Tourism and Education, Seda hotels and schools from all over the country.
Among the topics discussed was the development of human capital in the tourism industry, led by Regional Director Nelly Nita Dillera, CGSP of the Department of Tourism Region 12 SOCCSKSARGEN.
“AHLEI is a strong organization that gives premium programs to the hospitality and tourism workforce. It provides value-added learning with high-quality modules and insights of top key experts plus the opportunity to practice and work abroad with the acquired skills and competency, through their international certification,” Dillera noted.
AHLEI also touched on the opportunities available in the tourism and hospitality industry, especially applicable to the Philippines that drew 3.4 million of foreign tourists for the first half of 2018, an 11 percent growth from the previous year.
It also provides working hospitality professionals with training and continuous learning.
